Sara Knight

Leadership Coach

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Curious, consistent and a problem solver by nature.

What are your unique strengths and accomplishments?

In my experience as a coach and in various roles, I have focused on making people feel at ease and building trust. Establishing credibility and creating a safe, supportive environment allows individuals to be open quickly. I take pride in my ability to build these relationships, which enables effective problem-solving - whether it’s assisting others in unblocking obstacles or seeing things from a different perspective, I believe my approach of problem-solving skills facilitates this process.

I enjoy helping others navigate difficulties and am attentive to revisiting discussions if I sense that something is being overlooked or if people are quickly moving on from an important topic. I value the confidence to check in with individuals, ensuring we address everything necessary.

What is the most inspiring thing about coaching for you?

I find it truly inspiring when I witness a visible change in someone during a conversation. It’s amazing to see them unlock new insights or experience an “aha” moment. They may walk in feeling uncertain, but by the end, they leave with a clear plan and a fresh approach. It’s not just about their words; it’s also about their body language and the shift in their energy and excitement. When you observe that transformation and enthusiasm about what they need to do, it becomes particularly powerful.

What's the one piece of advice you would give to someone who's seeking coaching?

Be open and truly receptive. Be prepared to take action, as that is the only way to see real, tangible differences. It’s important to be open-minded about what you initially think is important, as it may lead to unexpected insights. Being open and action-oriented allows you to take control of your own destiny. Ultimately, what you get out of coaching is directly related to what you put into it.

What are you happiest doing when you are not working?

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time in the countryside, going on long walks and taking my dog with me. I love being with friends and family, especially at lovely pubs along the way.
