Describe yourself in 3 words.
Human, thinker and encourager.
What are your unique strengths and accomplishments?
Big Picture and Tiny Picture: My work involves seeking, finding, and connecting disparate elements. On a smaller scale, I focus on the small changes individuals can make that lead to significant impacts—whether it's a word, a behaviour, or a new approach. I strive to be an energy giver, a source of hope, a friendly challenger, a truth-seeker, and a fog clearer.
I bring over 30 years’ experience of working with senior individuals and teams delivering significant transformational change and improvement in a wide variety of industry sectors, public and private. The organisations I have worked with range from multinational global brands to small local start-ups.
I specialise in working with and supporting CEOs, executives and senior leaders to be the best leader they can be and enable them to overcome challenges and maximise the opportunities they and their organisations are facing. It can be lonely at the top and I work to be as much of a support that is needed to each individual leader.
What is the most inspiring thing about coaching for you?
Over my years of experience, I have learnt that every individual, organisation and challenge is unique and to succeed it is often this uniqueness and insight that needs to be understood and acted upon. I bring this approach to my coaching and therefore building a close coaching relationship is key and I have also learnt that coaching needs to be done with a smile on your face and energy in your actions. The people I coach think of themselves as ordinary but they are all actually really extraordinary and inspire me to be my best.
What's the one piece of advice you would give to someone who's seeking coaching?
My one piece of advice is to start! Take that first step, no matter how small it may seem. Reflect on how that initial action makes you feel—this can provide valuable insights. Once you've processed your experience, take the next step. Remember, progress is often made in small increments, so embrace the journey and remain open to learning along the way. Each step you take will bring you closer to your goals.
What are you happiest doing when you are not working?
Nature is my solace, from the tiny insects that live in their unique incredible world to the mountains and seas that dwarf and inspire.
